Stephen is an expert within the cryptocurrency and ICO industry with several years experience as a trader and advisor. He also has experience with over 20 years trading global equity markets privately, and experience within environmental markets through MossCapital (now Eleanor Investments ASX:ENN), COzero, and the Papua New Guinea Government where he acted as a delegate of the United Nations between 2010 and 2012.
Stephen has held senior roles within the Venture Capital industry as a CEO and Early / Growth stage advisor where he has lead several growth stage investments. In 2013 Stephen joined COZero as a seed investor and Executive Director, which traded well over $200m annually in environmental certificates through its product MarketLink, a first to market trading platform. Under Stephen’s introductions and management COzero went on to partly exit to Nippon Gas in Japan.
Kinsey Cotton is a director and co-founder of Tibra Capital, a financial trading company that uses sophisticated analysis and software algorithms to gain a competitive edge. He is the youngest of the seven founders who set up Tibra in 2006.
Kinsey has been the managing director of risks and controls across the group and previously headed up Tibra’s Asian division. Tibra at one stage employed about 230 staff and has offices in Hong Kong, London, Chicago and Australia and controlled $3.6 billion in assets. Kinsey left the business in 2014 but remains a major shareholder and non-executive director. The company trades a range of equity and derivative instruments across various exchanges around the world and made a record $79 million profit in 2016.
Calvin is a Director and co-founder of Aura Group, a group of global financial services businesses specialising in corporate advisory, funds and wealth management with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Singapore and Bangkok
Prior to establishing Aura Group, Calvin had worked at Everest Babcock & Brown (EBB), one of Australia’s largest absolute return investment managers. At EBB Calvin was part of the Direct Investment Team focusing on high yield debt, listed equities and private equity investments. In this role he gained exposure to a wide range of industries, geographies and asset classes through the provision and investment of over AUD$1b in public and private market transactions.
Calvin advises a range of Australian corporates within the finance, insurance, food & beverage, resources and technology sector. Calvin’s previous roles were in commercial / residential / mezzanine lending at a boutique financial advisory house in Sydney and in a legal role focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the Australian pubs and clubs sector.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) and Bachelor of Laws (with Merit) from the University of New South Wales. Calvin spent 6 months in an exchange program at the Graduate School of Law at the University of Texas Austin focusing on banking and financial services law. Calvin has also completed the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and has been admitted to practice as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
